Comment
In recent weeks DM Magazine has been a guest at the annual conferences of both IRIS (in Brussels) and Kofax (in San Diego), and it has been interesting to see how both of these long-established leaders in their fields choose to present themselves to their partners and customers at these events. One common theme is the key importance of the partner network for the ongoing success of these firms.

For all that IT companies love to announce shiny new products at these types of affair, for many attending the real focus is always on the established product range, and the customer service behind it. This is by no means limited to these two DM giants, of course: it is vital for any business to carry the channel along with you as you grow, and to make them feel involved in your marketing plans. As Kofax continues to integrate its seemingly never-ending list of acquisitions, and IRIS expands into cloud offerings and very high volume scanning projects, they have to feel that the market appreciates the thinking behind their progression. Stay tuned for updates on both companies' strategies.

Let us know what you think; we'd love to hear your views for future issues.
