Welcome to the July 2014 Newsletter.

I want to begin with another reminder about this year's DM Awards: nominations are open now – go to www.dmawards.com to see the full list of categories and to let us know which products or companies you feel have gone the extra mile for your business this year. Initial nominations close on July 25th, and the awards ceremony itself is planned for the night of October 23rd at London’s Hotel Russell.

This very newsletter might inspire your nominations, containing as it does a huge spread of product information, bylined opinions, and case studies that all, in their own way, serve to illustrate the enormous potential of DM/ECM technologies in today's organisations.

We feature, for example, the first in a two-part examination from Laserfiche of the issues around making ECM work in government. We also have an interview with Erik Banis of Visioneer's Xerox Scanners division, and a case study from Kodak Alaris on the automation of football pools processing. And that is without even touching on the news pieces from BancTec (new case management platform), ABBYY (digital mailroom offering) and capture specialists DRS, who have won yet another impressive piece of business in Africa. If none of these inspire you to visit our Awards site, well - you may be beyond help!
