Welcome to the October 2014 Newsletter.
Welcome to our October e-Newsletter, which this month boasts an embarrassment of one-to-one interviews (or in the case of CCube and Vaultium, a one-to-two interview). One of the things that makes Document Manager stand out in an increasingly crowded media marketplace is our ability to get in front of the most interesting people in the industry and get them to talk plainly and openly about what they see happening in the sector. AIIM President and CEO John Mancini is a good example, as you'll see in our interview piece here: " Someone commented to me recently that content management is seen as a 'niche discipline' within IT: that it isn't generally very well understood, and that IT people are usually more focused on the 'plumbing' associated with a system rather than what flows through that system. By and large I think this is still true: large organisations 'don't get' this world, IT functions 'don't get' this world." Whether you agree or not, you'll find John's views compulsory reading.
Lastly, don't forget (as if we'd let you!) the DM Awards which take place later this month - yet again we've had record-breaking numbers of votes cast and we're expecting a huge turnout on the night. If you haven't already booked your place, go to the website now (www.dmawards.com) to find out how. You don't want to miss this!
