Comment
It doesn't seem like any time at all since I was last donning my cummerbund and cuff-links for the 2014 DM Awards, yet here I am announcing the dates for this year's voting and ceremony: initial nominations are now open (nominations close on July 17th), and the event itself is all set up for October 22nd at London's swish Hotel Russell. I can't over-stress the importance of this initial nomination stage of the process: this is the chance for readers to let us know about the products and companies that have impressed them this year - if you don't put the names forward, they might not make it onto our finalist list, and then they miss out on a prize. It's a bit like being one of those people who moans about the government but then says 'there's no point voting, because the people I like never get into power."
We do get literally hundreds of nominations every year, so a couple of extra boosts for Company X or Product Y could make the difference between making the shortlist or being consigned to the 'not quite' pile. Do please head over to the Awards website (www.dmawards.com) - you don't have to nominate in every category, of course, just those you are interested in. Let's make this year the biggest and best ever!
