It is not often that an article in Document Manager is split into two parts, but that is what we've had to do in order to accommodate 'The smarter way to work', which begins in this e-Newsletter. David Wilkinson of Storetec offers a forensically detailed breakdown of some of the seismic changes he foresees coming to the way that we all work - brought about by a never-before-seen combination of flexible working practices, increased collaboration, and of course emerging technologies.
As he explains in the article: "Against a backdrop of increasing complexity and an intensification of competition, collaboration needs to be more than just a by-product of work. Collaboration has to be nurtured and amplified, and, in doing so, business leaders can modernise the way they work, create a vibrant atmosphere and transform their bottom line." Nice words in theory, but are we seeing much evidence of this actually happening? Perhaps it is only now, with recent advances in technology, that the shift can really start?
