Welcome to the July edition of the Document Manager eNewsletter, where we include an interesting piece on the current ongoing recruitment crisis across industries and sectors as a result of the combined effects of Covid-19 and our own local economic/business woes.

Antti Nivala of M-Files argues that digitisation can help alleviate these issues for organisations, and even help them to thrive in a new working world. Firms are spending much of 2022 looking for ways to improve productivity and efficiency for two reasons, he says: first, to streamline their business activities, and second, to ensure that they are in a better position to hire the right staff and retain them.

"Businesses need to get their operations in order and begin with documentation and paperwork," says Antti. "Once the headache of content management is solved, an organisation has a workforce who can quickly and securely access documents from practically anywhere. This will enable them to access the information they need, collaborate, comply, and produce, even with a workforce working remotely."

I'd also like to remind readers that nominations are still open - only until August 31st - for this year's DM Awards: visit www.dmawards.com right now to make your voice heard. And there are still some great sponsorship opportunities available around this year's event - contact Abby Penn at the office on 07861 682 066 or abby.penn@btc.co.uk before all the best deals are gone!
