As I type this, there's a rare calm in the Document Manager office after the mania of this year's DM Awards, which took place in Central London on November 17th. Every year the weeks running up to the awards night are frantically busy for all of us here as we juggle counting votes, booking hotel rooms and entertainers, printing seating plans and a million-and-one other tasks - many of which seem trivial, but any one of which could put the kibosh on the whole evening!

In the end though, the night went as slickly as ever, attended by over 200 of the 'great and good' in the document management industry, all of whom were very glad of a reason to be cheerful in these still uncertain times.

We'd like to thank all of the event sponsors one last time of course: our Chief Event Sponsor Crown Records Management, Northamber our Champagne Reception Sponsor, as well as Canon, Document Logistix, Dyanix, I.R.I.S, OASIS, PFU, Storetec, Yooz, ABBYY, DocuWare, e-ImageData, iText, Joisto, Kodak Alaris and OPEX.

As always, we are hugely grateful for the support of everyone across the sector, from those in attendance to those who took the time to cast their all-important votes. For a full breakdown of all the winners and runners-up, see the article opposite.
