We have a busy issue of the newsletter for you this month ahead of the 2022 Network Computing Awards, which take on place on 23 June. This will be the sixteenth consecutive year of the NC Awards - although we had to go virtual with them in 2020 for reasons that will be all too apparent - and the 2022 awards ceremony will once again be held at a central London venue.

You now have until 13 June to cast your votes online for the finalists that you think are most deserving of the top honours this year. You will be able to vote in all but two of the categories, the Network Project of the Year and the Bench Tested Product of the Year. We’d like to thank all of the companies that submitted projects detailing the impressive work that they have recently carried out. You’ll find more details on this year’s five project finalists on the awards website. If you’re interested in getting involved in this year’s awards or attending the awards ceremony then please email david.bonner@btc.co.uk for more information.

And speaking of bench tested products we have a trio of new reviews in this issue, as David Mitchell puts TREND Network’s LanTEK IV-S cable certifier, Progress Software’s network monitoring solution WhatsUp Gold 2022, and Fluke Networks’ FiberLert fibre cabling tester through their respective paces in the lab.
