We’re kicking off the new year here at Network Computing with some dates for your diary, as nominations for the 2023 Network Computing Awards are now open, with the awards ceremony set to take place on 18th May. You now have until 9th March to nominate the networking companies, solutions and services that have impressed you the most in the past twelve months, so please visit the network computing awards site to make your choices heard! The results will be announced at an evening awards ceremony in central London in May.

While the majority of awards categories are decided by nominating and voting we also have two judged categories: the Bench Tested Product of the Year, open to all solutions that have been independently reviewed for Network Computing Magazine in 2022, and the Network Project of the Year, which recognises the impressive work that vendors and their partners have carried out for customers. To enter a project please submit a case study to dave.bonner@btc.co.uk. Projects should ideally have been completed in the past 12 months. However, if work is still ongoing, a project can still be entered provided it can reference some benefits that the customer has already seen.

As part of our awards announcement we have an article this issue from ExaGrid, winners of three Network Computing awards in 2022 and the current reigning champs of the Company of the Year award, a title they’ve now retained for three consecutive years. In it ExaGrid reflect on a successful year for the company and look ahead to the promising prospects of 2023. The year ahead is also the subject of an article this month from Opengear’s Douglas Wadkins, who identifies five key trends that businesses must consider in 2023 to ensure their network is operationally fit-for-purpose.
