The big news as this edition of our newsletter is published is that once again it is time to put on your thinking caps and decide who are the biggest and best names in the storage industry - as the 2015 Storage Awards is open for business! Nominations opened officially on February 1st and already we've started seeing visitors to the website (www.storage-awards.com). Voting begins on the finalists in early April, and as ever our star-spangled ceremony takes place in June at London's fabulous Connaught Rooms - if you've never attended, and you work in the industry, you really should try to be there this year. Once again, see the website for details.
Elsewhere in the newsletter of course it is business as usual - which means interviews with storage sector luminaries, features on compliance, retention and storage chargeback strategies. Our news items focus heavily on hardware developments this month, including new enterprise HDDs and high density arrays, as well as new Blu-ray media that claims to offer an archive life of over 2,000 years. Perhaps we'll be crowning that particular product for its longevity at the 4015 Storage Awards?
